Removal and installation of the water pump
Removing pump water cooling procedure is as follows: - Drain the coolant from the cooling system (see. P. 5.1.1); - Remove the gear or V-belt; - Remove the protective cover of the drive belt;
| Fig. 188. The pump is water-cooled 2.0-liter engine disassembled: 1 - a bolt, 25 Nm; 2 - a pulley; 3 - bolt 10 Nm; 4 - the water pump; 5 - installation and replacement; 6 - thermostat; 7 - O-shaped sealing ring is always substitution; 8 - coupling; 9 - a collar; 10 - a cover of the thermostat; 11 - V-belt pulley
|
- Remove the bolts and remove a pulley 11 (Fig. 188) of the pump. To fix the pulley in a fixed position, put on it the V-belt pulley and tighten them. If a toothed belt, the pulley and lock in a fixed position; - Loosen the hose clamps in the places of their connection to the pump and remove the hose;
| Fig. 189. Location of some parts of the cooling system 2.0-liter engine: 1 - the throttle body; 2 - O-shaped sealing ring is always substitution; 3 - temperature switch (off the air conditioning and the third stage of the cooling fan); 4 - coolant temperature sensor; 5 - clamp switch; 6 - bolt 10 Nm; 7 - the holder; 8 - to the heat exchanger; 9 - from the heat exchanger; 10 - a cover of a broad tank; 11 - expansion tank; 12 - plug connector, black; 13 - the coolant pipe; 14 - oil cooler; 15 - to the lower surface of a radiator; 16 - bolt 20 Nm (still tighten and 90 ?); 17 - bolt 30 Nm; 18 - an arm of the generator; 19 - ribbed belt; 20 - the water pump; 21 - to the upper side of the radiator
|
- Remove the bolts of the water pump 20 (Fig. 189) and remove it from the engine; - Remove the O-shaped sealing ring 2 water pump and check its condition.
Note Another O-shaped sealing ring stands between the inlet pipe and the pump housing of the water pump. |
The installation of the water pump spend to sequences of return to removal following these guidelines: - The mounting bolts of the pump and pulley tightening torque 20 Nm; - Belt tension is regulated by a special tensioner.
