Removing and installing radiator
2.0-liter engine Removing the heat sink held in following order: - Disconnect terminal "-" of the AB, as with the ignition wire fan are energized; - Drain the coolant from the cooling system (see. P. 5.1.1). To coolant flowed quickly, remove the reservoir tank cover; - Disconnect from the radiator all air hoses; - Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the temperature switch of the fan and the fan motor;

- Loosen the top and bottom (fig. 187) coolant hose. Disconnect hoses from the radiator and move them to the side without bending them at the same time; - Disconnect the hose connecting the radiator and expansion tank;
Note The hoses are attached with spring clips. To remove the clips, use the special pliers, under number 798-5, and when the installation can be used in a pinch screw terminals if no pliers to install spring clips. |
- Remove the front bumper transverse support bar and grille;

- Remove the screws 4 (see. Fig. 182), on the sides of the radiator and remove the radiator 1 in the downward direction. At the same time, take care not to damage the cells of the radiator; - If necessary, remove the cover 2 of the heat sink and fan motor 8 from the casing. Install radiator spend in the reverse order of removal. Then fill in cooling liquid in cooling system (see. P. 5.1.1). VR6 engine Removing the radiator of a vehicle equipped with an engine VR6, carried out in the same way as with the 2.0-liter engine. However, please note the following points: - If the air conditioner, remove the V-belt drive him. Remove the power steering pump and leave hoses hanging on one side; - Remove air conditioning compressor, but in a way that did not open pipelines;
Note Next steps are the same for all versions of the engine. |
- Disconnect the temperature switch of the fan motor and optional air pump; - Disconnect the pump from the inlet hoses and pressure hoses; - Unscrew the screws of the clamp ring and remove the fan ring with fan and optional air pump; - If the air conditioner cooling hoses, remove the clips. Remove the radiator air conditioner radiator and pull it forward as far as possible; - Remove the radiator as well as with a 2.0-liter engine. Radiator remove downwards.
A warning When removing the radiator try not to hit it against other parts of the car to avoid damage to the cells of the radiator (this can lead to a leak of the radiator). |

Note Spring clips during installation must be replaced by screw, otherwise have to use for their installation special clippers. |
