Press in the inner joint on the drive shaft, as shown in Figure 3.184.
Set the drive shaft a new lock ring using pliers for snap rings VW 161 A.
Install a new internal hinge cover.

VAG 1682 pliers set, as shown in Figure 3.185.
At the same time, make sure that the blade collet to fit with the angles B collar.
Tighten the clamp by turning the screw with a torque wrench (the chuck bias is not allowed).

NOTE
Because of the solid (in comparison with rubber) anther material, requires the use of stainless steel clamp, the clamp can be tightened only pliers VAG 1682.

Torque: 25 Nm.
Use a torque wrench with a control range of 5-50 Nm (eg torque wrench VAG 1331).
Make sure that the screw thread A collet rotates easily. If necessary, lubricate with grease MOS 2.
When the rotation is difficult, for example due to contamination of the thread at the specified torque collar clamping force will be less necessary.
