According to the purpose and the functions they perform the braking system is divided into a working, spare, parking and emergency. Brake system provides variable speed control of the car and stop it with the necessary efficiency. Replacement system is used to stop the car in case of failure of the service braking system. Parking brake is used to hold the vehicle when stationary. She is mainly used to keep the standing car, but can also be used as an emergency in case of failure of the service braking system.
By car braking system is used with a hydraulic drive and diagonal division of contours, which significantly increases the safety of the vehicle. If one of the circuit as a backup brake system used by the second circuit, stops the car with sufficient efficiency.
The vehicle used ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels and ventilated disc or unventilated (with solid brake disc) - rear.
Hydraulic brake actuator mounted brake booster.
Brake fluid reservoir located in the engine compartment above the main brake cylinder, supplies the braking system and clutch brake fluid. Vacuum brake booster reduces the force on the brake pedal, thereby facilitating control of the vehicle.
The parking brake acts on the rear wheels via a cable drive.
