Checking and replacing the fuel gauge sender

Fuel gauge sender is part of the module and replace the fuel in the garage is not subject to conditions, so in the event of sensor failure need to replace the fuel module assembly.
To test the sensor, you will need avtotester.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Remove the fuel module (see. "Replacement of the fuel pump").
3. Connect the tester in ohmmeter mode to the conclusions of the fuel pad module.
4. Measure and note the resistance value of the sensor in the rest position.
5. Lift the lever with the float to the end position - the resistance should be reduced to almost zero. If the resistance does not change or is too large, then the sensor is faulty and should be replaced fuel module.
6. Install the parts in reverse order of removal.
