Checking and replacing the reverse gear switch
Backup light switch mounted on top of the gearbox housing. You will need a key "19". 1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery. | | 2. Press the latch and disconnect the connector from the sensor harness. | 3. Remove the sensor ... |
4. ... and remove it from the vehicle. 5. Remove the seal washer switch.
NOTE Strong compression washer replace a new one. |
| | 6. To test the switch, connect to its conclusions tester ohmmeter mode. Resistance should tend to infinity. | 7. Push the plunger switch - resistance should drop to zero. Otherwise, the switch is faulty and should be replaced. |
8. Set the items in reverse order.
