Replacing the brake disk
In the presence of the working surface of the disk burrs, deep scratches and other defects, increases the wear pads and reduce braking performance, and in the case of high lateral runout causing vibration when braking, replace the drive. In specialized shops this disk can be machined and sanded on both sides at the same depth, but after processing the thickness of the disc should be less than the minimum. Minimum thickness of the brake disc 19 mm. If the thickness of one of the disks is less than the specified value, replace both the disk. When replacing brake disc is required to replace the brake pads new set. You will need: hex key "10" key for wheel bolts, Phillips screwdriver blade. 1. Remove the wheel. | | 2. 4. ... and remove the brake disc. 5. Similarly, remove the right brake disc. 6. Install the parts in reverse order of removal.
NOTE Before installing the drive, thoroughly clean the mating surface of the hub and disc from rust and scale, as even the smallest particles sandwiched between the mating surfaces cause the disc runout and vibration during braking. |
HELPFUL ADVICE If you install the old drive, you delete a file on the shoulders of the working surfaces of the disk, formed by the wear on both sides of the disc. |
