Replacing valve stem seals

External signs of wear valve stem seals is a brief appearance of blue smoke from the exhaust pipe when the engine is started and when braking the motor after a long movement under load. This constant smoke is usually not observed. Indirect signs - increased oil consumption when there is no external leakage and oily spark plug electrodes.
Replace the valve seals is possible without removing a cylinder head of the engine, but this would require a complicated spring compressor valves without removing the camshaft, which is hard to find on sale. You can use for this purpose a universal device, removing the camshaft, but since the housing and cylinder head fastened by the same bolts have to be sure to replace the head gasket. Therefore, we recommend to replace the valve seals on the cylinder head removed.
You will need: all the tools necessary to remove the cylinder head (see. "Replacing cylinder head gasket") forceps to extract the crumbs from plates of springs of valves ...
... And spring compressor valves.
1. Remove the cylinder head (see. "Replacing cylinder head gasket").
2. Remove the levers and push the levers crackers (see. "Replacement of hydraulic valves").
3. Replace the cylinder head spring compressor valve, securing it as shown in the photo, with a hook made of a suitable metal bar.
4. Establish a "rassuharivaemy" valve support (you can use the head of the appropriate size of a set of instruments), compress the spring and remove the spring plate crackers.
5. Remove the top plate of the valve spring, spring ...
6. ... and the bottom plate of a spring of the intake valve ...
7 ... or the rotation mechanism of the exhaust valve.
8. Remove the pliers from the valve guide the valve stem seal.

NOTE
Valve stem seals are mounted on the guide bushings with little interference, so they can be removed with pliers without damaging the sleeve.

9. Grease the inner surface of the valve stem seal with engine oil, slide the cap on the valve stem to the guide sleeve and pressing the fingers put a cap on the hub until it stops.

A WARNING
The original valve seals set by hand only without the use of a mandrel. Trying Press on the cap through the mandrel hammer inevitably lead to damage.

10. Install the spring and plates (rotation mechanism) the valve in the reverse order of removal. Place biscuits using the tool so that they stood in the bore of the valve stem. After installation of crackers hit with a hammer by a metal rod of the valve end to crumbs sat on the seat.

A WARNING
If there are skewed crackers remain unfixed, when the engine is started "rassuharivshiysya" fall through the valve into the cylinder, resulting in a serious accident engine.

11. Similarly, replace the valve seals the remaining valves.

12. Install the engine cylinder head and the camshaft on the head and tighten bolts of their fastening in the sequence shown in Fig. 5.4 (see. "Replacing cylinder head gasket") point in Annex 1.

WARNINGS
Cylinder head gasket is required to replace the new one.
Before installing the camshaft in the cylinder head, apply sealant to the gasket surface of the body to the head.

13. Install all previously removed parts timing.
14. Adjust the belt tension of the generator and the power steering pump (see. "Check and adjust belt drive alternator and power steering pump"), as well as the air conditioning compressor (see. "Check and adjust belt drive air conditioner compressor").
