Siting monitoring devices shown in Fig. 7.73.
Device combination Refitting Disconnect the negative terminal ("-") battery. Remove the instrument cluster frame by unscrewing the screw fastening.
| Fig. 7.74. Tighten the screws on the instrument cluster
|
Remove the instrument cluster from the slot by removing the four bolts (Fig. 7.74).

Disconnect the connectors for the instrument cluster (Fig. 7.75). Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Technical condition Speedometer Verifying the speedometer should be carried out on a special stand in a service station car Hyundai. If tire wear and pressure deviation from the norm in their speedometer error increases (Table. 7.6).
Table 7.6 The error of the speedometer Speed, km / h | Tolerance, km / h | 120 | 123,5-129,6 | 140 | 144,4-151,0 | 160 | 165,4-172,4 | 180 | 186,3-193,8 | 200 | 207,2-215,2 | 20 | 20,0-24,6 | 40 | 40,0-44,0 | 60 | 60,8-65,4 | 80 | 81,4-86,8 | 100 | 102,5-108,2 |
Tachometer Install and connect the tachometer control in accordance with the instruction manual.
A WARNING Reverse polarity when connecting the tachometer may damage the transistors and diodes. When removing and installing the tachometer be careful not to drop it or subject to strong shocks. |
With the engine control tachometer readings compare with the testimony of staff tachometer. Exceeding the limits of tolerance measurements replace the tachometer (tab. 7.7).
Table 7.7 The error of the tachometer The frequency of engine speed, min -1 | 1000 | 2000 | 3000 | 4000 | 5000 | 6000 | 7000 | Tolerance, min -1 | ? 100 | ? 125 | ? 150 | ? 150 | ? 150 | ? 180 | ? 210 |
The fuel gauge To verify that the disconnect pin fuel level sensor. Connect a test lamp power 3.4 W and an operating voltage of 12 V to terminals "2" and "3" of the cable connector of the fuel level sensor. Turn on the ignition and check that the warning lamp lights up, and the fuel gauge needle moves to the ?F? (full tank). Fuel Level Sensor Check ohmmeter resistance between terminals "2" and "3" sensor at each position of the float (the "E" - an empty tank; "1/2" - half the pot; ?F? - full tank) (tab. 7.8). Check the smoothness of the change in resistance when the float is moved from the position "E" to the position of ?F?.
Table 7.8 The resistance between the fuel level sensor The position of the float | F (full load) | 12 | E (empty tank) | Resistance, Ohm | 4.0 | 32.5 | 110 |
Sensor fuel reserve Connect a test lamp (12 V operating voltage and power of 3.4 watts) and battery in series to the sensor output. Immerse the transducer into the water. When immersed in water thermistor warning lamp indicator light should not, if out of water - should be on.
NOTE At malfunction, replace the fuel level sensor assembly. |
A WARNING Upon completion of this test, wipe the transmitter dry and place it into the fuel tank. |
Coolant temperature In the engine compartment, disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor. Turn the ignition switch and make sure the temperature gauge coolant is in the "cold". Switch off the ignition. Connect a test lamp (12 V operating voltage and a power of 3.4 W) to the contact sensor connector of the cable to the "masses." Turn on the ignition. The light should be lit, and the arrow pointer is set to "hot". If the result is not as specified above, replace the temperature gauge, then recheck the system. Coolant temperature Check ohmmeter resistance between terminal "2" sensor and "weight". If the resistance is not as specified in Table. 7.9, replace the sensor.
Table 7.9 Contact resistance between the temperature sensor Coolant and "weight" at different temperatures Temperature, ? C | 60 | 85 | 110 | 125 | Resistance, Ohm | 118 | 49.0 | 25.0 | 14.6 |
Oil pressure sensor When the engine stopped, check the presence of the connection between track the oil pressure sensor and "weight". With the engine running, make sure that there is no connection between track gauge and "weight". If the result is not as specified above, replace the sensor. The control lamp of pressure of oil Remove the pin from the oil pressure sensor and connect the contact sensor wire with "weight". Turn on the ignition and check that the warning lamp lights up. If the lamp is not lit, check the bulb and wires. Brake fluid level Disconnect the sensor on the brake fluid reservoir. Press down on the sensor (float) by a rod, make sure you have a chain between contacts "1" and "2" sensor. Control lamp of brake fluid level Start up the engine. Release the parking brake. Disconnect the brake fluid level. Connect the contacts of the sensor connector cable with "weight". Make fire of a control lamp. The switch of a control lamp of lay brake system Switch the parking brake push type (limit switch) is located under the parking brake lever. To adjust the position of the switch is necessary to move the switch bracket up or down when installed in the lowest position the drive lever of the parking brake system. Check the circuit between the terminal and the housing when the switch contact closure switch (at the top position of the actuator arm of the parking brake system). Check for continuity between terminal and switch body by opening the switch contacts (when the drive lever is down parking brake). When non-compliance to the above test results, replace the switch or check the connection with "weight". The switch of a control lamp of the seat belt Disconnect the switch connector. Check for continuity between the switch contacts. When fastened seat belt resistance should be equal to infinity. If seat belt resistance should be zero. The warning lamp seat belt With the ignition on, check the warning lights. When fastened seat belt warning lamp should not burn. If seat belt warning lamp should illuminate.
