Removal and installation of the coupling hub and the pulley of the compressor

The key unscrew the bolt of the hub (Fig. 8.67).

Removing the hub and shim from the shaft compressor

Remove the hub and shim from the shaft of the compressor. At the complicated removal of screw bolt 8 mm hole in the shaft end and remove the hub from the shaft (Fig. 8.68).

Remove the retaining ring of the pulley (Fig. 8.69).

Remove the compressor pulley and bearing assembly (Fig. 8.70).

Setting
Clean seating surfaces and the pulley bearing compressor head, removing dirt and rust.

Install the pulley and bearing compressor

Install the pulley and bearing assembly on the compressor (Fig. 8.71).

Install locking ring

Install the retaining ring chamfer outwards (Fig. 8.72).

Install shim

Install shim thickness required spline grooves inside, install the hub on the shaft end of the compressor (Fig. 8.73).
Wrap the new hub bolt into the end of the compressor shaft and tighten it to torque
Tightening torque: 11-14 Nm.

ATTENTION
Do not use a pneumatic tool.


Checking gap between the hub and the coupling pulley surface

Check the gap between the probe and the surface of the clutch hub pulley (Fig. 8.74).
Installation coupling backlash: 0,05-0,08 mm.
Check gap of 3 points on the circle of the pulley.
If the installation clearance of the hub does not fit in the specified range, adjust it by placing a shim of appropriate thickness.
