To replace the oil seal of the compressor shaft remove the compressor from the vehicle and drain the coolant. Remove the compressor clutch hub. Felt a sharp object remove the seal from the toe of the compressor. Carefully remove any foreign particles from the nose cavity of the compressor, blowing it with compressed air at low pressure. Then, lint-free cloth, thoroughly clean the inner and outer surface of the sock from the compressor oil and dirt. With the help of a stripper remove the sock compressor shaft retaining ring gland. 1. Insert the end of a stripper in one of the holes of the locking ring (type A). 2. Turn the puller so that the end of the hole and the retaining ring are located as close as possible to the compressor shaft (type B). 3. Remove the retaining ring, the rapid movement of pulling the puller up by holding it at the wall of the bore rod sock (type C).
Fit the shaft to remove the gland (09977-33700) onto the shaft of the compressor and slide it into the toe of the compressor until it touches the shaft seal (Fig. 8.78). Get a head fit into the inner diameter of the packing of the shaft. Hold the hexagon tools extend head device within the gland by turning the knob clockwise device, then remove the oil seal by pulling the tool.
Setting Check the protective ring for burrs and other defects of the new oil seal. Damaged protective ring or place. Clean lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of the shaft and socket under the gland to wear of the compressor. Immerse the protective ring and gasket in a clean compressor oil and install the oil seal on the protective ring sealing lip towards the large diameter of the protective ring.

Install the protective ring with the gland at the end of the compressor shaft (Fig. 8.79).
Install Tool for fitting oil seal on the end of the protective ring, then slowly slide the gland in a protective ring to fit into the socket (Fig. 8.80). Remove the compressor Tool for fitting oil seal and the protective ring. Establish a new lock ring in the stuffing box bore and the nose of the compressor via a stripper slide it into the groove. Check the tightness of the lip seal, turning the shaft 10 turns for the coupling hub. Install a new compressor in a sock felt seal. Replace the compressor clutch hub, as described above in this section.
