Replacing the engine oil
ATTENTION On vehicles equipped with engines with a catalytic converter, it must be ensured that the oil level on the dipstick oil level was above the level of the maximum. If the car with a catalytic converter was flooded with too much oil, the excess part of it should be removed from the crankcase through the suction or discharge (special vacuum pump), otherwise unburnt oil will penetrate into the exhaust system and can destroy the catalytic converter. |
Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. Stop the engine. Remove the oil filler cap and unscrew the drain plug oil pan. Drain the engine oil. Install and tighten the drain plug rated torque. Tightening torque drain plug: 35-45 Nm.
NOTE Do not re-install the sealing washer for the plug. |
Fill the engine with fresh engine oil through the oil filler neck. Fuel capacity without replacing the oil filter - 3 liters, with the replacement of the oil filter - 4,3 l.
ATTENTION Do not pour motor oil into the engine above the maximum level. This will result in aeration of oil and reduce the oil pressure. |
Install the oil filler cap. Start the engine and let it run. Stop the engine and check the engine oil level. If necessary, add oil.
