Adjusting the height of the seat belt
Fig. 1.161. Adjusting the height of the seat belt

The height of the seat belt front seat can be adjusted to one of four positions (Fig. 1.161).
If the seat belt anchor is too close to the neck, the belt will not provide maximum protection. The shoulder portion of the belt should be adjusted so that it passes across the chest and low in the middle of the shoulder to the door and not the neck.
To adjust the height of the fixing belt, press the lock button on the height of the seat belt and move up or down fastening a seat belt in the desired position, which provides a close contact with the shoulder strap. To lock the seat belt anchor release the lock button. Try to move the seat belt anchor up or down to ensure the reliability zafiksatsii mounting in this position.

To fasten your seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the belt strap (latch plate) in his castle until it clicks (Fig. 1.162). Never wear the lap belt across the abdomen (Fig. 1.163). In the event of an accident the belt can dramatically cut into the abdomen and increase the risk of injury. When the belt is too high, it increases the danger of sliding out from under the belt in the event of a traffic accident (crash) or when braking. This can result in death or serious injury.
Both hands must not simultaneously be over or under the belt. Never put your seat belt on hand, closer to the door.

Releasing the seatbelt

For Releasing the seatbelt, grasp the bar (latch plate) and press the button on the buckle (Fig. 1.164). When the belt is released, it automatically retracts back into the retractor.
If not, check the belt for looping and try again.
