The holding device for children (child seat) (optional)

When transporting children in a car, always put them in the back seat and buckle, in order to minimize the risk of injury in the event of a traffic accident (crash), sudden braking or turning. Statistics of traffic accidents shows that children held device properly undergo less danger in the rear seat than in the front. Older children should be available in the car wearing seat belts. In accordance with the legislation of most countries when transporting young children must use restraint device (car seat). For transportation of infants and young children need to use a carrycot or car seat. Installation on the central rear seat

Attach the child seat with the help of the central belt, as shown in Figure 1.165. After installation, shake it back and forth and right and left to make sure that it is securely fastened.

If the child seat is not fixed, adjust the strap length. After this, insert the locking hook (if available) into the lock and tighten it to secure the seat. Always read the manufacturer's instructions before installing the child seat in his car.

Set in the back door

Installing the retaining devices for children

Open the cover anchoring the retaining device (child seat) (Fig. 1.168).

Install a holding fixture for children (child seat) in the back seat of the car.

On vehicles equipped with adjustable head restraints, skip the mounting strap on the back of the rear seat under the headrest.

Attach the hook strap to the mounting bracket anchoring and pull the strap to securely attach the hook to the bracket.
