general information

To avoid failure of the transfer case in any case do not use towing equipment that might prevent the rotation of the wheels.

Towing-wheel drive without shutting down the 4WD mode in order to avoid failure of the transfer case model should be carried out on the truck.

4WD models with the ability to turn off the front axle can be towed off the ground with their front wheels only. Make sure that the transfer box installed in the neutral position, the AT - in P, Manual transmission - for transmission.

To prevent leakage of oil from the transfer case or disconnect the rear driveshaft.

Models with transfer case COMMAND-TRAC

In the presence of the ignition key

Manual transmission

Turn the ignition switch to OFF, to unlock the steering column. Turn on the transmission, transfer box move to neutral.

Unlock the steering column and gear selection by turning the ignition key to OFF. AT Move to position P transfer box set to neutral.

In the absence of the presence of the ignition key, but the open car

Manual transmission

Turn on the transmission, transfer box move to neutral.

Models with transfer box SELEC-TRAC / QUADRA-TRAC

In the presence of the ignition key

Turn the ignition switch to OFF, to unlock the steering column and gear selection. AT Move to position P transfer box set to neutral.

In the absence of the presence of the ignition key, but the open car

Make sure the transmission is in position P, switch the transfer box in neutral.

In the absence of the presence of the ignition key and closed car
