The vehicle identification number (VIN)



It is important to know that the VIN is located on the rating plate attached to the top of the instrument panel, directly under the windshield on the driver's side of the car. VIN is also present on the title and registration certificate of the vehicle, and includes information such as the date and place of manufacture, model year and body type.
