Check axial play of the steering wheel



1. the vehicle is stationary, Set the wheels straight ahead, shaking steering wheel from side to side with little effort. If the play does not fit within the rules, make a repair.
Steering Wheel Play - 0-30 mm.
Note: large total gap indicates wear articulations or large backlash in the steering mechanism. Eliminate any faults.

2. to pull the steering wheel in all directions, as shown in Figure 1.177, for the detection of bearing wear of the steering column, the backlash in the connection of the steering shaft, loosening the steering wheel and steering column.
