Assembling the valve timing



Install the crankshaft sprocket.
Install the oil pump chain.

Secure oil pump sprocket special device (Fig. 2.189).
Install the oil pump chain guide.
Install chain tensioner for oil pump drive.

Install the special tool on the camshaft, and then set the first cylinder to TDC (Fig. 2.190).
Remove the bottom cap of the cylinder.

Install special tool as shown in Figure 2.191.
Turn the crankshaft clockwise to the TDC Piston ?��1.
Install the timing chain drive mechanism.

Install chain tensioner and remove the retaining wire (Fig. 2.192).

Lock the camshaft

Hold the camshaft using a suitable wrench on the hexagon, as shown in Figure 2.193
Tighten the fixing bolt of the camshaft sprocket.
Tightening torque: 69-75 Nm.
Coat the crankshaft front oil seal clean engine oil.
Slightly press in the oil seal by hand.
Press in the oil seal using the special tool and a hammer.

Kremnievoorganichesky Apply sealant to the engine front cover as shown in Figure 2.194.

NOTE
Install the cylinder head cover 10 minutes after applying the sealant.
Kremnievoorganichesky sealant is not required in the area C, as shown in the figure, since he's already there (L3 with variable valve timing mechanism).

Thickness:
A: 2,0-3,0 mm;
B: 1,5-2,5 mm.

Install cover bolts to the cylinder head in the order shown in Figure 2.195.
Reinstall the special device on the camshaft, as shown in Figure 2.191.

Screw bolt M6x1,0 hand (Fig. 2.196).
Turn the crankshaft clockwise to the TDC Piston ?��1.

Hold the crankshaft pulley from rotating by means of a special device (Fig. 2.197).
Tighten the bolt of the crankshaft pulley in two steps.
Tighten to 96-104 Nm.
Tighten to 87-93 ?�.
Remove the bolt M6x1,0.
Remove special tool with camshaft.
Remove the special tool from the hole bottom cap cylinder.
Rotate the crankshaft clockwise two turns until the TDC position.
If TDC can not be achieved, loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt and repeat.
Replace the bottom of the cylinder plug.
Torque: 20 Nm.

Kremnievoorganichesky Apply sealant to the mating surfaces, as shown in Figure 2.198.

NOTE
Install the cylinder head cover 10 minutes after applying the sealant.
The diameter of the point: 4.0-6.0 mm.

Install the cylinder head cover with a new gasket.

Tighten the bolts in the order shown in Figure 2.199.
The inhaling moment: 8,0-12,0 Nm.
