Test the surface of the cylinder head by a color contrast. Using dye penetration, check for cracks in the combustion chambers, intake and exhaust ducts and on the surface of a gas joint (Fig. 2.136).
If there are cracks, replace the cylinder head or brew it (with subsequent grinding).
Check the depth of the valve seat, the radial and axial clearances camshaft bearings (see. Below).

Measure the cylinder head in six directions to detect warpage (Fig. 2.137).
If distortion exceeds the maximum, replace the cylinder head.
The maximum warpage: 0.10 mm.
Maximum polishing: 0.15 mm.
