Chain tensioner timing - oil. The tension of the chain valve timing is kept constant by using oil pressure and the spring force of the chain tensioner. Oil chain tensioner has the following parts: a piston spring, which acts on the tensioner arm; check valve, which keeps the force on the tensioning lever (Fig. 2.26).
