The provisions of the ignition key
Fig. 1.13. The provisions of the ignition key

The key is in the ignition switch may take the following position (Fig. 1.13).
The position ?LOCK? (?0?).
Ignition off, steering wheel is locked (when the key is removed), electrical equipment can not operate.
The position "ACC (? I ?).
The steering wheel is locked, electrical equipment can operate.
The position ?ON? (?II?).
The steering wheel is unlocked, electrical equipment can operate.
The position ?START? (?III?).
Start the engine.
If the ignition switch is not turned or rotated with difficulty, should be a little push steering wheel left and right, and at the same time to turn the key in position ?ON? (?II?) - the wheel is released.

A WARNING
While driving in any case, do not turn the ignition key to ?LOCK? (?0?) or to the "ACC? (?I?).

The steering lock can not replace the parking brake. Before you leave the car, stop the engine, set the lever automatic transmission (if available) to position "P" (Park) and brake the car a lay brake.
When the ignition is not put your hands through the steering wheel as if the steering wheel suddenly begins to rotate, you can get injured.

A WARNING
With the engine off, do not leave the ignition key in position ?ON? (?II?), as in this key position will be discharged battery.

In order to facilitate the installation of the key in the ignition switch in the dark, when you open the driver's door for about 20 seconds will light the lamp lighting the ignition.

Start the engine, not equipped with a fuel injection system
To start, do the following.
Fasten your seat belts.
Lower the parking brake lever.
Vehicles with manual transmission.
Depress the clutch pedal and set the gear lever to the neutral position. During start-up hold the clutch pedal in the lowest position.

A WARNING
Include a starter no more than 10 seconds. If the engine is not empty, wait 5-10 seconds, and then repeat the process start-up, otherwise the starter could be damaged.

Cars with automatic transmission.
Set the selector lever to "P" (Park) or ?N? (neutral).
Pull the choke knob only to start or warming up the engine. Pull out the choke knob.
When the engine has warmed to normal operating temperature, the choke knob fully push back.
When pulling the choke knob warning lamp the air damper, which goes out after pushing in the handle back.

Start a cold diesel engine

A WARNING
With the engine in a closed room there is a danger of poisoning.

To start, do the following.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ?ON? (?I?).
2. Wait for a while until the indicator goes off glow plug.
3. After that, turn the key in the ignition switch in position ?START? (?III?) and start up the engine without using the accelerator pedal. In cold weather, start the engine to be pressed on the accelerator pedal to failure.
At low ambient temperature completely pull cold start button, turn it to the right, and the ignition key is set to position ?ON? (?II?). On a car with manual gearbox during engine start-up, press the clutch pedal - the starter only has to rotate the crankshaft of the engine. Turn the ignition switch to ?START? (?III?) and hold it in this position for as long as the engine is not empty. Press the accelerator pedal to slightly increase the speed of the crankshaft of the engine and release it as soon as the engine begins to run smoothly. When the engine has warmed to normal operating temperature, rotate the cold start to the left and push it back. During warm engine idle a cold engine start button must remain stretched. As long as the engine has warmed to normal operating temperature, do not allow high speed and high engine load.

A WARNING
In order to facilitate cold start, turn off all electrical consumers.

If the engine does not start, turn the key in the ignition switch back to position ?LOCK? (?0?) or the ?ACC? (?I?). Wait 5 seconds before taking another attempt to start, otherwise will not work glow.
When the button is lit extended cold start.
