| 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. |
| 2. Disconnect and connect the wire of "weight" from the generator. |
| Models with four-cylinder engine |
| 3. Remove the front crosspiece and a front section of an exhaust system, if necessary. |
| Models with the six-cylinder engine |
| 4. Remove the air intake pipe and the protective guard from below the engine. Remove the air conditioning compressor. |
| All models |
 | 5. On models with 4-cylinder engine, unscrew the locking bolt and the adjusting bolt located on top of the generator (indicated by arrows). Remove the drive belt from the pulley. |
 | 6. Remove the lower hinge bolt (arrow). |
 | 7. On models with 6-cylinder engine, remove the nut and the tensioner adjusting bolt (arrow). Remove the drive belt from the pulley. |
 | 8. Turn off the upper retaining bolt (arrow). |
| 9. Remove the generator. |
