Bulkhead engine (2.0 liters and 2.5 V6)



This section discusses the operation of major overhaul of the engine, including parts of the cylinder head and cylinder block. This chapter included as recommendations on how to organize and prepare work on the overhaul of the engine, to buy spare parts, and detailed procedures for removing and installing the engine components, as well as methods for checking the technical condition of parts.

In the following sections we assume that repairs are carried out after the dismantling of the power unit from the car. Surgery to repair without dismantling the power unit from the car, as well as dismantling and assembling all the ancillary engine required to perform major repairs are described in Section 3.1 and subsection 3.5.3

The above technical data are only required to check the technical condition of parts in the repair procedures described below.
