The starter and the engine start system
The engine starting system consists of a battery, a starter, the retractor relay and connecting wires. Retractor relay is located on the starter. When working with the system start the engine follow the precautions envisaged to work on the electrical system of the engine.
Check the operation of the starter relay and the retractor

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. First of all, check the connection cables and connections. Check the battery charge. Check the fastening of a starter. Check fuses and interlock switch on the gearbox. | 2. If the starter rotates slowly, check the supply voltage to the starter. It should not fall below 8.0 volts. | 3. If the supply voltage starter in order, but the starter does not work, remove the starter and check the operation of the retractor relay. Replace starter or relay if needed. |

Refitting
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. | 2. Remove the air filter and air intake tube. | Models with four-cylinder engine | 3. Remove the bracket located between the intake manifold and starter motor. | Models with 6-cylinder engine and automatic transmission | 4. Disconnect the cable from the shift lever on the transmission. | 5. Disconnect wiring that prevent the removal of a starter and move wires aside. | 6. Remove the bracket shift cable. | All models | | | 7. Mark and disconnect the wires from the terminals on the starter relay. Turn off fixing bolts (are specified by arrows) and remove the starter (left - models with 4-cylinder engine on the right - a model with a 6-cylinder engine). | 8. Installation is spent upside-down removals. |
