"Rain sensor"



Optionally, the vehicle may be set so-called "rain sensor". It is set on the inner side of the windshield. Two optoelectronic element responsive to the strength and intensity of the rain and commands the increase (decrease) the frequency of operation of the wipers. The sensor is activated by a combination switch wiper, a headlight and turn signal. The driver can always more intently watch the road, if the problem of good visibility for it solves the "rain sensor". The new Mercedes E-Class - the first production car equipped with such a system.
