Check drive plate for wear (when installed)

Since all parts are installed in the clutch housing and inaccessible without disassembly of clutch disc wear special check pattern on the working cylinder.

Checking the wear of the slave drive using a template
Fig. 183. Checking the wear of the slave drive using the template: a - the slot to check for vehicles with left-hand drive vehicles; b - the slot to check for vehicles with right-hand drive vehicles; 1 - the working cylinder; 2 - plastic overlay; 3 - the push rod; 4 - pattern (number of factory specification 115 589 07 23 00)

Checking the wear of clutch disc (at the critical wear pattern is not included in the corresponding slot)
Fig. 184. Checking the wear of clutch disc (at the critical wear pattern is not included in the corresponding slot)

The plastic lining on the working cylinder located between it and the clutch assembly machined two sloping, downward groove. The clutch assembly they look like a slot into which is inserted and a pattern. The push rod of the working cylinder has a variable diameter. The smaller the diameter of the rod corresponds to the slot pattern, the last part of the groove, as shown in Fig. 183. When testing is confirmed by the fact that the pattern on the sides made incisions will disappear in the slot grooves. This means that the driven plate is not yet worn. If the pattern is not included in the slot, then the piston rod is situated opposite the slit its large diameter (Fig. 184). This indicates the wear of the friction linings slave drive, and should be replaced.
