Installing the crankshaft

Installation of the crankshaft must be performed in the following order:
- Clean the nest crankshaft bearing and invest in their shells with holes and grooves for oil supply so that the guides got into the recesses provided for them in the bearing housing. Liberally grease the liners;

Installing semirings regulating the axial clearance of the crankshaft
Fig. 81. Installation of semirings regulating the axial clearance of the crankshaft

- At the appropriate main bearing half rings set regulation governing the axial clearance of the crankshaft.

Install main bearing cover with persistent half rings adjust the axial clearance of the crankshaft
Fig. 82. Install main bearing cover with persistent half rings adjust the axial clearance of the crankshaft

These half-rings with protrusions resting on the jack cylinder and main bearing cap, completely the same, so they must be installed, as shown in Fig. 81. The projections on the half-rings are used to fix them from turning. The grooves for lubrication should be directed towards the flange of the crankshaft, as shown in Fig. 82;
- Carefully lower the crankshaft bearing seats with inserts. If the connecting rods with pistons were not removed from the cylinder, make the base rods with liners to crank pins;
- Put the bottom loose leaves in covers of radical bearings and grease-lubricated their working surfaces;
- Put persistent half rings adjust the axial clearance of the crankshaft in the middle groove cover of the radical bearing. Oil grooves must be on the outside (see. Fig. 82). Hold the half-ring on the right and left sides of the fingers, to prevent them from falling out, put the cover on the appropriate rack of the radical bearing;

Labelling (1) main bearing caps
Fig. 83. Marking (1) The main bearing caps

- Set the remaining crankshaft bearing caps to their nests in the crankcase and tapped him on top of a rubber or plastic hammer. Bearing caps must be installed in accordance with their digital marking. For example: unit stamped on the crankcase near the reception of the bearing, said that on the bearing frame should be set bearing cover with a digital marking "1" (Fig. 83). Thus, the numbers next to the uprights broken crankshaft bearing must match the numbers on the bearing caps;
- Bolts main bearing caps should be carried out in several stages, starting from the middle of the crankshaft and moving toward the edges, finally tighten to 55 Nm. Thereafter, in the same manner finally tighten these bolts even at 90-100 ?;
- Rotate the crankshaft several times in order to identify possible sticking point;

Check the axial clearance of the crankshaft
Fig. 73. Check the axial clearance of the crankshaft

- Check again the axial clearance of the crankshaft as described in Sect. "Removing the crankshaft", with reference to Fig. 73;
- Set of pistons with rods in accordance with regulations contained in Section. 2.6.6;
- Set the back cover sleeve of the crankshaft;
- Establish a mechanism for driving the camshaft (Sect. 2.12.2);
- To establish a flywheel (Sect. 2.8.4);
- Secure grip on the flywheel based labeling. The slave drive is necessary to center;
- To establish the oil pump (see. The appropriate Div.).
All the remaining work performed in reverse order of removal to complete assembly of the engine and its ready to be installed on the car.
