Clutch

On these models set single-plate dry clutch with diaphragm spring.

The construction of single-disc clutch, dry type diaphragm spring

1 - Flywheel
2 - Clutch Disc

3 - The clutch with pressure plate
4 - Fixing bolt (Allen)

Clutch consists of a basket of the pressure plate, clutch disc, release bearing (Manual 717.4) / center operator (Manual 716.6), the fork arm clutch (Manual 717.4) and a hydraulic actuator.

Shopping pribolchena coupling to a flywheel fixed to the crankshaft of the engine. Between the pressure plate and the flywheel is placed equipped with friction linings clutch plate is pressed against the working surface of a flywheel pressure plate diaphragm springs. The clutch disc by the spline connection is centered on the input shaft Manual transmission.

When squeezing the clutch pedal release bearing under stress, developing a hydraulic pressure through a forked lever clutch presses the diaphragm spring pressure plate, providing a releasing clutch disc, which ceases to cling to the working surface of the flywheel and, accordingly, to transfer engine torque to the input shaft of the transmission.

Clutch on all models have a hydraulic design. As the working fluid used brake fluid is taken from the general to the braking system of the tank.

Each clutch engagement is associated with the wear of the friction linings slave drive, which refers to the number of consumable components in the assembly. Average life of the slave drive is over 100 000 km. The intensity of wear depends on the operating conditions of the vehicle (with trailer movement) and the driving style of the owner. On models equipped with the two-part type flywheel with torsional vibrations quenching spring-damper unit, setting the clutch is automatic and need no further adjustment.

Clutch plate for models with a two-mass flywheel is not equipped with torsion springs.

Another advantage of the car to be equipped with the two-piece type of flywheels is reduced background noise at low engine speeds.
