Removal and installation of a cable lock electronic ignition switch (EIS)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of connecting cable lock EIS shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  3. Remove the cover to the left under the dashboard.
  4. Press together the locking tabs (1a) and disconnect a cable lock EIS (1) of the ignition switch (S2 / 1).
  5. Disconnect the cable (1) from the selector module (N15 / 5) (see. Section Removing and installing selector unit) and release it from the dashboard.
  6. Installation is in the reverse order. Make sure of serviceability of functioning lock, - concluded the selector lever from the "P" must be resolved only at the squeezed out pedal of a foot brake in position "2" ignition, removing the key from the lock should be possible only in the "P" selector lever.
