Removal and installation of the control modules



Details of installation of the control modules in the main assembly block shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.

Fuel injection control module (ECM / ME-SFI)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If ECM must be replaced, consider encoding it using a special diagnostic scanner (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
  2. Remove the five mounting screws and remove the rear cover of the main mounting block.
  3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the control modules ME-SFI (N3 / 10), and ETS / ESP (N47).
  4. Remove the fastening screws (1) and remove the control module assembly with the mounting frame (2).
  5. Remove the mounting screws / release clamps and remove the ECM (N3 / 10) from the frame (2).
  6. Installation is in the reverse order.
  7. When installing a new module make its encoding using the diagnostic scanner.
  8. To store data on the unit idle throttle position, turn the ignition key to position 2 and wait 60 seconds.

Traction Control module systems (ETS / ESP)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the back cover of the main mounting block.
  2. Disconnect the wiring and pull up, remove the module ETS / ESP (N47).
  3. Installation is in the reverse order. Finally, make sure the correct encoding for the braking system.

Total activity module (AAM)

Details of the overall activity of the installation module (AAM)


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details AAM installation module shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. If the module AAM to be replaced, consider encoding it using a special diagnostic scanner (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
  3. Remove the lid of the main mounting block in the engine compartment (see. Section Removal and installation of the mounting blocks).
  4. Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the fuse and relay module (F1) of the main assembly block.
  5. Carefully detach the module AAM (N10) wiring and bi-directional radio antenna.
  6. Carefully separate the module from the assembly AAM (F1). Be careful not to bend the contact terminals - terminal tab located on the top edge of the flat portion in the middle of the module.
  7. Installation is in the reverse order - when installing a new module do not forget to make its encoding using the diagnostic scanner.

Expansion module activity (EAM)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the module EAM shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. If EAM module to be replaced, consider encoding it using a special diagnostic scanner (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
  3. Remove the cover to the left under the instrument panel (see chap. Body).
  4. Release the lock (1) for the module EAM (2) on the support bracket.
  5. Pulling down, remove the module EAM (2) from the support bracket.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. If necessary, remove the driver authorization module (FBM / DAS) (See below.).
  8. Installation is in the reverse order - when installing a new module do not forget to make its encoding using the diagnostic scanner.

4 - Tool for removing the module


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation Details FBM / DAS are shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the expansion module Activity (EAM) (2) (see. Above).
  3. Release the clips (3) and separate the FBM / DAS (5) of the module EAM.

Before replacing the module FBM / DAS check whether authentication keys and made sure according to the encoding unit shift - order a new module is based on the chassis number of the vehicle.

  1. Installation is in the reverse order.
  2. After finishing installation, check the engine start key.

The control unit of the system of additional safety (SRS)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. This module provides control deployment of the airbags and belt tensioners emergency front seats. Installation Details SRS control module shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. To prevent memory write control module fault code (DTC), turn the ignition key to the 0 position.
  3. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  4. Remove the center console (1) (see chap. Body).
  5. Depending on the configuration, remove the acoustic panel (2) / lift its front edge.
  6. With proper configuration, remove the two rear mounting screws and remove the air duct of heating / ventilation / air conditioning (3).
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (5) control module SRS (N2 / 2).
  8. Remove the mounting screws (4) and remove the control module SRS (N2 / 2) from the transmission tunnel.
  9. Installation is in the reverse order - the arrow marked on the module must point in the direction of travel. Do not forget to put under the left rear screw securing the module ground terminal (W26).
  10. Finally, make the programming and parameterization of the new control module SRS.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the control module of the emergency call (E-call) shows Mr illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the fuse F8 on the mounting fuse / relay box.
  3. Remove the screws on the console right front seat (1).
  4. Tilt the assembly seat back all the way to the rear seat cushion and fix it in this position, rear seat belt. Release from its support bracket cable harness the dynamics of E-call and cover carpet floor panel behind the front seat assembly to prevent contamination.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) and the antenna connector (4) on the assembly of the module E-call (A35 / 8) - Do not bend or pull the fiber-optic cable, immediately replace the connector protective caps.
  6. Remove the fastening screws (5) and remove the control module E-call (A35 / 8).
  7. Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  2. Slide the assembly seats all the way forward and lift up to the extreme position of the rear edge of the cushion.
  3. Disconnect the connector of the electric switch (1), as well as salon harness connector (2) on the control seat adjustment (N32 / 1 or N32 / 2).
  4. Remove the securing bolt (arrow) and remove the support bracket (10).
  5. Release the clips (11), disconnect the wiring and remove the control module (N32 / 1 or N32 / 2) from the seat frame.
  6. Installation is in the reverse order.
  7. Finally, check the serviceability of functioning drive seat adjustment function and input the selected position in the memory module.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  2. Remove the cover to the left under the instrument panel (see chap. Body).
  3. Disconnect the headlight range control module (N71) electrical wiring.
  4. Give two fixing screws and remove the module (N47) with the support of the overall activity of the module (EAM) (See above.).
  5. Installation is in the reverse order.
  6. In conclusion, using a diagnostic scanner (see chap. Systems of an electric motor), reset the position of the lights, and then make the necessary adjustments.

The control unit xenon headlights

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the control unit xenon headlights shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the corresponding lens unit (E1 or E2) (see. Section Removal and installation of block headlights, lamp replacement).
  3. Remove the back cover of the headlight.
  4. Turning counterclockwise Disconnect electrical connector (1 or 2) corresponding to the control module (E1n1 or E2n1).
  5. Remove control module (E1n1 or E2n1), gently squeezed it out of the support with a suitable wedge.
  6. Installation is in the reverse order.
  7. In conclusion, using a diagnostic scanner (see chap. Systems of an electric motor), reset the position of the lights, and then make the necessary adjustments.

The control unit of the amplifier speaker

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the control module amplifier speakers shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the cover to the left under the instrument panel (see chap. Body).
  3. Remove the screw (1) and remove the amplifier (A2 / 13) to the support bracket - set aside the insulation.
  4. Disconnect the wiring connectors (2 and 3), - on models with VIN A289565, H754620 use one connector.
  5. Disconnect the connector D2B, - Do not bend or pull the fiber-optic cable, immediately replace the connector protective caps.
  6. Remove the audio amplifier (A2 / 13), - try not to damage the wiring.
  7. Installation is in the reverse order.
