Towing
General remarks
You must be complied with the requirements of "Rules of the road" regarding towing.
Tow rope must be elastic to avoid damaging both cars. Only use of the synthetic fiber rope, or similar elastic materials. But safer to use a towing bar!
Always make sure that you do not arise unacceptably high tension, and at the same time, absent any significant rolling resistance of the vehicle. When towing a car on the edge of the dirt road is always a danger of demolition by the wayside.
Before attempting to start the engine by towing, it is possible to use the battery of another vehicle to start the engine - please refer to the previous section.
Both drivers should know the features of driving when towing, set out below, and have sufficient experience. Inexperienced drivers should not be behind the wheel of any one or the other vehicle.

Installation of the towing eye

Models with automatic transmission (Sequentronic)

Models with automatic transmission
The key in the ignition switch, turn to position 2.

Failure to comply with the maximum speed or distance towing may damage the transmission.
On long distances or in the case of damage to the gearbox Towing is only permitted with a raised rear axle or disconnected (from the rear axle) driveshaft.

Emergency Starting vehicle towing

Turn on the alarm.
