General remarks

You must be complied with the requirements of "Rules of the road" regarding towing.

Tow rope must be elastic to avoid damaging both cars. Only use of the synthetic fiber rope, or similar elastic materials. But safer to use a towing bar!

Always make sure that you do not arise unacceptably high tension, and at the same time, absent any significant rolling resistance of the vehicle. When towing a car on the edge of the dirt road is always a danger of demolition by the wayside.

Before attempting to start the engine by towing, it is possible to use the battery of another vehicle to start the engine - please refer to the previous section.

Both drivers should know the features of driving when towing, set out below, and have sufficient experience. Inexperienced drivers should not be behind the wheel of any one or the other vehicle.

When using a tow rope tow vehicle driver must when setting off and gear shifting is particularly smoothly release the clutch.

The driver of the towed vehicle must ensure that the tow rope was constantly stretched.

Both cars should be included exterior lighting devices in accordance with the "Rules of the Road".

The ignition must also be included in order not to block the wheel and could, if necessary, to include turn signal, horn, windshield wipers and washer.

Power drive of working brake system performs its function only when the engine is running, so the engine is switched off during braking must be much stronger to press the brake pedal.

Since when the engine power steering does not work when cornering greater efforts are needed on the steering wheel.

If there is no oil in the AT need to tow the car with just hung four-wheeler.

There is a risk to stay outside when pushing or towing the vehicle:

The vehicle is locked, if the key is in the ignition lock in position 2 and the car is moving.
The "Automatic locking of doors while driving" can be turned off (see. ?AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK? (Automatic door locking) in the menu "Individual setting".

If the battery is disconnected or discharged, the turning of the ignition key and switch automated PPC Sequentronic possible and drawstring PPC remains locked in position "P".

Important!

Towing and towing to start the motor is only allowed using the towing eye. Do not attach the tow rope or the tow bar to the chassis components.

The receptacle for the screwing of the towing eye are caps on the bumpers.

The towing eye is located in the vehicle's tool kit.

Fit the cover and secure it.

Instead of towing should be preferred transportation vehicle for a special vehicle or trailer.
In cases where the towing is unavoidable, we recommend using a tow bar.
