Removing and installing ignition coils, - petrol models



Before starting any procedure, read the safety data sheet as set out in Section General information and safety precautions!

Details of installation of ignition coils on petrol engines

5/1 - The tip of a spark plug connector
5/3 - Bolt
T1 / 1 - ignition coil number 1
T1 / 2 - ignition coil number 2
T1 / 3 - ignition coil number 3
T1 / 4 - ignition coil number 4

T1 / 5 - ignition coil number 5
T1 / 6 - Ignition coil cylinder number 6
T1 / 7 - ignition coil number 7
T1 / 8 - Ignition coil cylinder number 8
Arrow - identification mark tip

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover / air cleaner.
  2. Remove the retaining screw (5/3).
  3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the respective spark plug (5/1).
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the spool assembly (T1 / X).
  5. Installation is in the reverse order.
