Removing and installing sump SR20DE

Lift using the jack front of the car and set it on supports. Disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery. Remove the nuts sump. Drain the oil.

Bolts maslouspokoitelnogo panel
Fig. 2.78. Bolts maslouspokoitelnogo panel

Remove the front exhaust pipe. Remove the reverse of that shown in Fig. 2.77, bolts steel pan. Remove the pan. Remove maslouspokoitelny guard by unscrewing the screws fixing it (Fig. 2.78). Lift the engine using a jack, placing it under a transmission, or hang out with the help of hoists.
On cars with a manual gearbox mark the position of the clamping bolts on the front support bracket of the power unit. Unscrew and remove the nut, then remove the tie-rod suspension of the power unit. Unscrew and remove the nut of a coupling bolt of a back support of the power unit. Unscrew and remove the four bolts with washers holding the center crossmember. Lower cross bar and pull it out from under the car. Remove the retaining ring between the rear suspension and power unit bracket.
On vehicles with air conditioning unscrew and remove the bracket bolts to the aluminum crankcase of the compressor.

Tightening the nuts and bolts of aluminum crankcase
Fig. 2.80. Tightening the nuts and bolts of aluminum crankcase

Remove the two screws and remove the cover plate from the housing flange (Fig. 2.79) in order to gain access to the two fixing nuts aluminum crankcase. Remove the nuts and bolts of aluminum crankcase in the reverse order listed in the Figure. 2.80.

Removal of aluminum from the crankcase wrapping bolt holes (1) on the crankcase flange of the threaded holes (2) housing
Fig. 2.81. Removal of aluminum from the crankcase wrapping bolt holes (1) on the crankcase flange of the threaded holes (2) housing

Remove the two screws on the flange crankcase to the boat transmission. Screw the bolts into the holes 2 (Fig. 2.81). Tighten the screws to the aluminum crankcase separating from the surface of the cylinder block, then remove the screws.
On vehicles with automatic transmission for removal crankcase disconnect selector lever cable from gearbox.

Removal of the amplifier base frame cast main bearing
Fig. 2.82. Removal of the amplifier base frame cast main bearing

After removing the casing, remove the bolts and nuts of the filter and drains, as well as the amplifier base frame cast crankshaft bearing (Fig. 2.82) and remove them. Wash the strainer in a solvent. Check the filter screen. In the event of a fault, replace the oil receiver assembly with filter. Check the rubber pads support the central cross pendants. They must be free of wear and damage. If necessary, replace the rubber pads.
Before installing, clean the sealant from the mating surface of the cylinder and the crankcase, with a clean cloth and the inside of the crankcase of the engine. Install new O-ring into the groove on the top of the filter and oil receivers. Install a filter on the base of the oil pump cover.

The application of sealant on the surface of the aluminum crankcase contour
Fig. 2.83. The application of sealant on the surface of the aluminum crankcase contour

Tighten bolts and nuts of the filter. Install the amplifier on welded stand crankshaft bearing and evenly tighten the bolts. On the clean and dry surface pairing aluminum crankcase and cylinder block, apply a uniform and continuous layer of the sealant in accordance with the figure. 2.83.
Install the sump to the engine block. Install the bolts and nuts crankcase
and tighten them to the specified torque in the sequence shown in Fig. 2.80.
Install the two bolts securing the flange to the crankcase of the engine gearbox housing and tighten them evenly. On vehicles with automatic transmission selector lever cable connect. Install the cover plate on the flange housing and evenly tighten bolts of its fastening (see. Fig. 2.79).
For vehicles with air conditioning, set the compressor bracket bolts and tighten them evenly. Make sure that the rubber cushion supports are in place. Install the snap ring on the rear support bracket of the power unit. Replace the central crossmember and secure it with screws and washers and tighten them to the specified torque.
On vehicles with a manual transmission, set the pinch bolt with a nut on the front support bracket of the power unit. Adjust the position of the power unit so that the coupling bolt has coincided with the marks made before removal. Tighten the set moment. Install the pinch bolt on the arm of a back support of the power unit and tighten the nut to the specified torque. Remove the jack from under the gearbox. Set maslouspokoitelny guard at the base of an aluminum crankcase and tighten the bolts evenly. Apply an even layer germetka continuous loop on a clean and dry surface pairing sheet steel pan and aluminum crankcase. Apply a layer of sealant into the groove in the center of the mating surface with aluminum crankcase between the holes and around the inside edges of the bolt holes.
