Substitution cuffs steering



Replacing the cuff can be performed on the established mechanism.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lift the front of the car and unscrew the wheel.
  2. Disconnect the ball joint tie rod from the steering arms.
  3. Loosen the locknut next to the tie rod and unscrew the tip, thus counting the number of turns to completely remove the tip.
  4. Loosen the clamps on the inside of the tie rod and a small clip on the outer side and remove the cuff.
  5. Put the new seal and secure inside.
  6. Screw the tie rod to pull on the same number of turns as when removed.
  7. Connect the tie rod to the steering arm and tighten the castellated nut with a force of 37 - 46 N ??? m. Insert a new cotter pin.
  8. After installation, check and, if necessary, adjust the toe.
