All covered in this manual cars have an electrical system that operates with a voltage of 12 V. The connection passes through the mass of the negative terminal of the battery. The battery is located in the engine compartment.

Starter forced switching gear is used for starting the engine. Starter switch is part of the ignition switch is turned on and excites magnetic switch located on the starter. Depending on the model or the starter has a direct drive flywheel (1.6 l), or drive gear ring disk drive through reduction gearing. Both starter produced by Magnetti-Marelli.

Only models with 1.6 liter engine equipped with direct drive starters, and among these models, there are exceptions. Installed generator has a capacity of 80 A (2 liter engine, the company BOSCH) or 67 A (1.6 liter engine, the company Magnetti-Marelli). The generator is driven by a belt from a crankshaft multirebristym. The voltage regulator is used to control the charging current and is on the back cover.
