A battery

The battery is located on the left side of the engine compartment.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Standard battery
1. In a small run of the car every 3 months is recommended to check the density of the electrolyte.
2. If you suspect a malfunction of the battery compare electrolit density in the cells, which should differ by no more than 0.04. Otherwise, the damaged plate, or there is leakage of the electrolyte.
3. If the density is different within these limits, and the battery is low, then it must be recharged.
Maintenance-free batteries
4. The battery status is determined by a voltmeter or the indicator.
5. Battery status is determined by the color of the indicator, which depends on the type of battery (consult with the purchase).
6. When testing voltage voltmeter must be at least 6 hours after the last trip. Otherwise turn before checking the main beam headlights for 30 seconds.
7. The battery is fully discharged, if the voltage is below 12.2 V.
8. Remove the discharged battery and recharge.

Charging

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Standard battery
1. Battery charging current equal to 0.1 of the container until the density of the electrolyte stops to change for at least 4 hours.
2. The battery can also be charged a small current of 1.5 A, leaving for the night.
3. Forced charging is not recommended.
4. The temperature of the electrolyte during charging should not be higher than 38 ? C.
Maintenance-free batteries
5. Batteries of this type require a long charging time (up to three days depending on the level).
6. partially discharged batteries can be charged with a stabilized source voltage 13,9-14,9 V for usually 3 hours to a voltage of 12.5 V.
7. fully discharged battery (with voltage below 12.2 V) is recommended to charge a specialist workshop, since in the long process of the charge requires constant monitoring.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the nuts and disconnect terminals (arrows) from the poles (first disconnect the negative terminal).
2. Unscrew the nuts and remove the clamp, unhook the studs.
3. Remove the battery and a plastic tray.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is performed in reverse order.
2. The first terminal joins a positive pole, then - negative.
3. Lubricate the battery terminals with petroleum jelly.
