Engine management Motronic

Engine management Motronic versions used in cars in the Golf III: engines AAA to 7.95, with AEE 10.95 (Motronic / 1AV); ABV with 7.95, AEK with 10.95 (Motronic M2.9), ABV with 8.95 (Motronic 3.8.1).
Unlike other systems, the engine control applies a sequential fuel injection. This means that each fuel injector is controlled separately and injects the working mixture in accordance with the working cylinder. By accurately choosing the moment of injection in relation to the time of opening the intake valve of the KSUD provided more efficient combustion of the mixture that is particularly manifest in the rapid increase of torque during acceleration of the vehicle.
A distinctive feature of KSUD Motronic M 2.9 is that as the speed sensor crankshaft applied inductive sensor installed in the front of the oil sump, Hall-effect sensor mounted in the body of the distributor of ignition. VR6 engine completed with two knock sensor: the left and right sides of the cylinder between the first and the third, fourth and sixth cylinders. On the four-cylinder engines installed only one knock sensor.
Oxygen sensor installed in front of the catalytic converter housing.
Idling regulator is mounted between the air inlet pipe and an outlet conduit. It controls the amount of intake air in the idle mode that bypasses the throttle valve. This ensures consistency speed at idle, regardless of connection of additional consumers, such as electric power steering and air conditioning. Management control is carried out by idling the engine ECU.
Ambient temperature sensor installed in the left portion of the inlet conduit. The signal from this sensor is fed to a regulator of idling and the control of the ignition timing. Failure of this sensor leads to difficulties starting the engine at low temperatures.
The system Motronic 3.8.1 idling mode control is carried out in the case of installation KSUD Simos. Hot-film sensor with the heated filament is replaced by the air flow sensor of the film type. The advantage of such a sensor is the absence of deposits on the coil, and hence the need for its periodic cleaning.
Due to the additional air purge reduced exhaust emissions the engine is warm. This is achieved in that the electrical pump supplies fresh air into the exhaust system of the engine. Fresh air afterburning still unburned particles. In addition, the exhaust temperature is increased, so warming up the catalyst faster and earlier work included in the oxygen sensor. Recycling system depending on the engine assigns a certain amount adjustment valve again via the inlet conduit, thereby decreasing the combustion temperature of the working mixture. The lower combustion temperature, the smaller is contained in the exhaust gas of harmful nitrogen oxides.
