Removing and installing lights

Removing the lights sequence is as follows:
- Remove the grille;
- In the engine compartment, remove the protective cover of the headlamp;
- Disconnect the plug from the socket lamp lights, located on the rear side lights;

Tighten the screws on the headlamp (indicated by arrows)
Fig. 9.10. Tighten the screws on the headlamp (indicated by arrows)

- Remove the four front screws securing the lamp (Fig. 9.10);
- Pull out the entire headlamp itself;
- Disconnect servo adjust the angle of the optical axis of the headlights.
The installation of lights spend in reverse order of removal. Please note that the outside lights to guide fits snugly against the edge of the wing.
After installing the lights, check and, if necessary, make adjustments headlights. We recommend adjusted on the workshop.

Removal and installation of servo hydrocorrector lights
The servomotor can be replaced only at the removed headlamp housing. After replacing the servo necessary to make adjustment of the light beam headlights.

Rotate servomotor before removing it
Fig. 9.11. Rotate servomotor before removing it

Before removing the servomotor, turn it to the left (Fig. 9.11, arrow), in the case of a servo motor the right headlamp, or right - for the servo left headlight.
When installing the servo put it into the guide shaft ball head on the reflector. At the same time hold the reflector through the hole for the headlamp bulb to the motor shaft engages. Secure the servomotor by turning it in the opposite direction.
Check the servo motor, put the car in front of the wall and include marker lights, and then make fine adjustments in the service station lights. Tilting the optical axis of the headlight operates only at near-light.

Adjusting headlights

Adjusting headlights
Fig. 9.12. Adjusting headlights: 1 - the adjusting screw in a horizontal plane; 2 - the screw adjustment in a vertical plane

Adjusting the headlights by turning adjusting screws 1 and 2 (Fig. 9.12), which turn the optical element in the horizontal and vertical planes.
At the workshop produced fine adjustment range using a special measuring device and only when absolutely necessary, you can manually make a rough adjustment.
Coarse adjustment range performed as follows:
- Put a fully fueled and loaded truck on level ground at 5 m from the smooth wall or any screen so that the axis is perpendicular to the car he was;
- Put on the seat of the driver's mass of 75 kg;
- Make sure the tire pressure is correct;
- Push the side of the car to install the spring suspension;
- Measure the distance between the earth and the centers of the headlamps. Apply these points on the wall and draw a straight line through them;
- Carried out on a second straight wall below the first 50 mm;
- Draw on the wall exactly in the center of the car vertical line;
- Measure the distance between the centers of the middle of the car and headlights (left and right). Mark crosses on the wall is the distance from the delayed vertical line to the right and to the left, on the first line (top);
- Exactly 50 mm beneath these crosses (bottom line) should be the point of the bend of the passing beam headlamp. (If so, the coarse adjustment is not necessary to conduct);
- Ensure that the lights are in the home position (on the switch number "0");
- Sequentially, first for right headlight (left closed with a cloth or dark matter), and then to the left (right closed), adjust the screws light beams of headlights;
- Switch on the ignition and dipped beam;
- Adjusting screw 2 (see. Fig. 9.12) vertical set the lower limit of the passing beam on the bottom horizontal line;
- Adjusting screw 1 horizontal scanning set point bending beam border to the corresponding cross;
- With the "correct" adjustment of main beam is automatically achieved.
Some models are equipped with adjusting headlamp power, control switch on the dashboard. On such models, it is necessary to control the beam headlights set this switch to "off".
Nevertheless, as soon as possible make a fine adjustment of headlights in the workshop.

Helpful advice
Immediately after the fine adjustment range in the workshop (using a special device) mark pattern rays adjusted headlights on the door of his garage, just putting the car at a distance of 5 meters from the garage door so that the axle is perpendicular to it. The distance should be exactly extinct and not appreciated by eye. Turn on the main beam and mark crosses on the garage door centers both light beams of headlights.
Now, during the rough adjustment of headlights will be available to put labels. You will only need to put the car in the same position in front of the garage door and check whether the centers of the headlights with previous labels, and if necessary, adjust the headlights.
