Start the diesel engine

Diesel engines are recommended to start with the clutch disengaged. Turn the starter and devices in position "1". At the same time the instrument panel indicator lights preheating. Once the light goes out, turn the starter, without pressing the accelerator pedal.
If the engine does not start on the first try, repeat the preheating. Do not turn off the starter before the stable operation of the engine, but do not keep the starter switched on for longer than 30 s - Stop the starter and try again starting.
At temperatures below -15 ? C completely pull the handle of the starting device. At a lower temperature not pull the handle trigger device as long as the engine does not work steadily, and after warming up the engine Depress the handle of the starting device. Do not use the starter when starting a hot engine and do not press the accelerator pedal. On cars with engines AAZ and 1Z, equipped with a turbocharged, before stopping the engine, allow the engine to idle for about 2 minutes. It is necessary to extend the life of the turbocharger.
