Remove the lining facing racks A.
Remove all sun visors.
Remove the inside rearview mirror.
Remove the headliner.
Headliner lowered so that it was possible to vyrezhte windshield without damaging the headliner.

Remove the cover in water protection left and right with a hood, from the mounting plates on the racks A (Fig. 8.33).
Disconnect the negative cable from the fixing screw 5 6 Kapton wire and secure with duct tape on the glass.
After that, the plenum chamber is necessary to disconnect the connectors 2 and 3 and unlock from the holder. Kapton wires 1 and 4 fix on the glass tape.

NOTE
When you cut the windshield, take care not to damage the wires. When one of the wires is damaged glass must be replaced.

Insert the film between the windshield and the front panel.

Pull one end of the thread cutting 2 with an awl through the adhesive sealant in the interior (Fig. 8.34).
Secure the end of the thread cutting in the cabin with the handle.

Insert the thread cutting tube 2 with 1 edge of the glass (Fig. 8.35).
Route the thread cutting around the glass.
Make sure that the thread cutting at the corners was built under glass.
The second end of the thread to secure the coil.
Set coil "position I?�.

During thread cutting press down on the glass with a plastic wedge to provide a free space at the edge of the glass and the front panel.

Check whether there are vertical stops 1 (Fig. 8.37).
On the windscreen there is no marks for the application of adhesive bead 2. The adhesive bead is applied between points 3 and 4. The upper edge of the glass, starting from the vertical stop 1 inside. On the side edge of the glass from the inner edge of the layer of primer 3 outward. The lower edge of the glass, starting from the profile frame 4 inside.

NOTE

The remaining layer is a reactive primer for applying a new layer of adhesive sealant.

ATTENTION

Exception: If the glass is glued directly after cutting residual adhesive-sealant layer to activate the remaining activator D 181 801 A1.

Preparation for the installation of new windows without coating
All glass, supplied as spare parts are not pre-coating.

NOTE
The surface of the roller for applying adhesive sealant is uncoated and processed primer.

Clean the glass edge perimeter per width of 20 mm. cleaner D 009 401 04.
Then rub dry with a lint-free edge of the glass cloth.

ATTENTION
The ceramic coating on the glass is not a primer. The surface before applying the adhesive sealant is required to treat the primer. Use only the primer D 009 200 02.

Apply primer 2 with an applicator D 009 500 25 January uniformly in one step (Fig. 8.39).
Drying time is about 10 minutes.

Cut the remaining adhesive sealant at the edges of the body by means of a U-shaped blade, in any case, do not remove the adhesive sealant completely (Fig. 8.40).

NOTE
The remaining layer is a reactive primer for applying a new layer of adhesive sealant. The surface for bonding must be clean and free of grease.

ATTENTION
Avoid contact with painted activator - this will damage the finish.

Exception: If the glass is glued directly after cutting residual adhesive-sealant layer to activate the remaining activator D 181 801 A1.
If the edges of the body have been processed or have been partially updated after the relevant section of the paint handling is necessary once again clean and treat the primer.

Minimum curing time

ATTENTION
When replacing the glass glued need to follow special requirements. For example, the new pasted windshield after a set time curing adhesive sealant must comply with the safety requirements in the accident.

Minimal curing two-component adhesive DA 004 600 A2 when installing any glass is 3 hours.
Under the minimum curing time is understood as the period from the moment of bonding glass to the continued operation of the vehicle. During this time, the vehicle must stand on a level surface at room temperature (not less than 15 ?� C).

ATTENTION
The safe operation of the vehicle is provided only after the minimum curing time of the adhesive.

Repair paintwork damage
On the visible damaged sections of paint and larger damaged invisible when installed glass areas is necessary to restore the structure of paint.
For minor paintwork damage in enclosed areas suited following method of repair: double application in opposite directions ("wet on wet") primer for glass and lacquer D 009 200 02.
Apply primer to the damaged area once.
Let dry for 10 min.
Apply the primer opposite the second time than the first time direction.
