Removing manual, Passat 2006 with "external" water cooling radiator ATF



When removing the gearbox without motor, it goes down. The engine is mounted in the vehicle.
"Top" REMOVE COVER battarei battery, air filter and the engine cover. Then, the engine and gearbox are suspended so that you can remove the left support of the power unit.
"Bottom" dismantle antinoise isolation and squeeze the drive shafts. Then, with a jack for manual gearbox is lowered.

NOTE
Bracket mounted units do not remove.

Raise the vehicle.
Set the selector lever to position "P".
Remove the air filter cover to the engine suction pipe.
Remove the battery and battery cover.
Remove the bolts the ATF cooler to the casing of the battery, remove and set it aside.
Remove the cover of the battery.

Manually press clips selector lever cable 1 manual, and remove it from the support 2 (Fig. 3.89).
Do not use pliers to avoid breaking the retaining plate supports.

Then press the cable with a ball head 2 (Fig. 3.84).
Unscrew the bolts of the top of the wires.
Unscrew the bolts of the bottom of the wire.
Unscrew bolts pipeline fluid ATF.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the gearbox and starter.
Remove the upper bolt starter.
Remove the upper bolts to the engine manual.
Bolts can unscrew / tighten using the Allen wrench. During tightening, observe the minimum torque.
Spanner facilitates installation work.
Move zachalte and traverse it to the aggregation node engine-gearbox. Do not lift them.

After that you can unscrew six bolts console A (Fig. 3.90).
The console is taken out later, after the KP omitted.
Press the brake pedal. At this time the assistant should turn away a bolt of the left drive shaft.

NOTE
After that, do not lower the car.

Remove the sump antinoise isolation.
If the engine above the right drive shaft heat shield is installed, remove it.
Disconnect the two electrical connector KP.
Remove the lower part of the left wing of the locker.
Remove the starter.

Remove contact bearings, first A, then B (Fig. 3.91).
When installing, first tighten the support B, then A.
On both sides, unscrew the nuts of the lower control arm.
Squeeze both drive shaft of the gearbox.
Remove the left drive shaft.
Right lift shaft as high as possible and secure in this position.
It does not damage the protective coating of shafts, for that use plastic cable ties.
Thereafter, the support arm can be pulled out of the power unit. For this we need a little lower engine with gearbox via the spindle traverse A.
Suffice six turnovers.
If the holder of the aggregate unit exhaust system, then it must be removed along with the CP
Remove the lower bolts to the engine manual.
For safety do not remove one bolt is well accessible.
Twisting the be two lower bolts.
Hole for loosening torque converter nuts at the rear of the engine covered by a rubber cap.
Remove the cap.
Remove the six screws using a torque converter with the head of the key.

NOTE
At installation pay attention to the fact that at the time of connecting the engine to the engine manual carefully screwed. Flywheel hold the outside with a screwdriver. Thus, during installation, the studs enter the openings of the metal gasket leash.

Before you remove the last bolt, support the transmission with a jack for engines and transmissions, and the bracket template.
Only now, you can remove the last bolt.
Disconnect the gearbox from the engine.

NOTE
Follow the torque converter. It must be disconnected along with the CP.
During lowering watch free lift gearbox relative to the support of the power unit. If necessary, further ototreguliruyte bracket.

It should be borne in mind that when installing a new gearbox and support necessary to shift the selector lever cable bracket.
