Substitution coolant
Replace coolant spend in the following order: - Put the handlebar heating the cabin on the dashboard to position ?Heiss? (hot); - Unscrew the expansion tank cap. If the engine is hot, you should wait some time before you open the expansion tank cap; - Put the container under the engine to drain the fluid. Engine 2.0 L

Some parts of the cooling system 2.0-liter engine: 1 - a radiator; 2 - radiator cover; 3 - the top hose of a cooling liquid; 4 - bolt 10 Nm; 5 - support rod; 6 - lower coolant hose; 7 - mounting ring of the fan; 8 - the cooling fan; 9 - plug connector temperature switch, black; 10 - the temperature switch, 35 Nm

|
Disconnect the lower hose 6 (see. Fig. 182), the coolant from the radiator or unscrew the connector sleeve of coolant (fig. 183) and drain the coolant.
Note If the coolant is still in good condition, ie, her newly filled, it can be reused. |
Note Hose connections are secured their places with the help of similar clamps clamps are recommended to shoot using special pliers under number 798-5. |
VR6 engine

Some parts of the cooling system of the engine VR6: 1 - Rubber Bearing; 2 - the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing; 3 - radiator; 4 - radiator cover; 5 - bolt 10 Nm; 6 - the rubber washer; 7 - support leg; 8 - plug connector right fan (black); 9 - for plug clamp pads of the right of the fan; 10 - right fan; 11 - fan shroud; 12 - the inlet hose; 13 - hose pressure; 14 - High pressure air pump; 15 - hose clamp; 16 - bolt 25 Nm; 17 - left the fan; 18 - Plug-in connector for the left fan (black); 19 - the lower radiator hose (thermostat); 20 - Plug-block temperature switch (black); 21 - temperature switch for the fan
|
Remove the drain plug or unplug the radiator lower hose 19 (see. Fig. 181) and the coolant drain the coolant in the prepared container; - A 2.0-liter engine, attach to the lower radiator coolant hose and tighten the coolant pipe with a new gasket; - On the VR6 engine tighten the drain plug with a new sealing washer and tighten to 10 N ? m. When disconnected from the lower radiator coolant hose, then reinstall it;
| Fig. 184. Coolant expansion tank. The coolant level in the expansion tank should be between labels "MAX" and "MIN" (arrow)
|
- Pour coolant in the expansion tank to the mark "MAX" (Fig. 184) and tighten the lid of the expansion tank; - Start the engine and let it run until it turns on the fan (2.0-liter) or fan (engine VR6); - Stop the engine and let it cool;
A warning The fan (or electric fans) can independently be included, even a few times, and the ignition switched off due to the heat in the engine compartment of the car. |
- Check the coolant level in the expansion tank. It must be established between the marks "MAX" and "MIN" on the expansion tank. If the level is lower, then add coolant. If the engine is hot, the coolant level may be slightly above the mark "MAX".
Note In the absence of special coolant is allowed to use clean "soft" (e.g., rain) water, but its use improves the freezing temperature, enhances corrosion and scale formation. |
A warning The presence of water in the expansion tank at low temperatures is not allowed. |
