Replacing the entire tie rod



To remove the tie rod ball joint, remove the rack. It uses a special key (?�� 1332/8) or big enough wrench.

Measure the entire length of the tie rod, including the head of the tie rod (the distance a on Fig. 268). The nominal size of 1.0 mm ?� 378.5;
- Loosen the hinge cover and slide it back on the tie rod;

Remove the ball joint tie rod to the rack. On the key 1 (1332/8), set the torque wrench 2 (1332)

- Hold the steering mechanism in a vice (Fig. 269), and set the image there is a key on the ball joint tie rod. Remove the tie rod;
- Install the new tie rod, maintaining the previously measured distance, and screw it back in the rack a torque of 70 Nm. Do not apply liquid locking threaded joint on the thread of the tie rod;
- Install the hinge cover to the housing rack.
- Adjust the similarity collapse of the front wheels.
