Disassembly and reassembly of the front wheel brake

Disassembly and reassembly of the brake mechanism can be independently carried out only if there is the necessary experience with the details of the hydraulic brake system and provided that there is available repair kit brake.
Dismantling the front wheel brake mechanism spend in the following order:

Brake components
Fig. 317. Details of brake 1 - a rubber cap; 2 - the guide pin, 25 Nm; 3 - slip rubber sleeve; 4 - dust cap; 5 - bleed screw brake actuator; 6 - brake master cylinder assembly with a caliper; 7 - bracket (calliper); 8 - a spring collar; 9 - a sealing ring of the cylinder; 10 - the piston; 11 - Dust seal

- Tighten the cylinder 6 (Fig. 317) in a vise;
- Using a screwdriver, remove the dust from the piston ring 11;

Popping air piston from the brake cylinder
Fig. 318. Popping air piston from the brake cylinder

- Establish a piston wood trim (Fig. 318) to avoid damaging the surface of the piston calipers at its ejection;
- Accurately pumping a jet of compressed air through the inlet fluid (see. Fig. 318 is shown by an arrow), push the piston from the cylinder;

Removal of a sealing ring cylinder
Fig. 319. Removal of a sealing ring of the brake cylinder

- Gently with a screwdriver (Fig. 319), remove the O-ring 9 (see. Fig. 317) from the brake cylinder. Not to damage the cylinder bore;
- Thoroughly clean all parts and if the cylinder and piston are in good condition, use the repair kit for assembly. It is recommended that the O-ring 9 (see. Fig. 317) of the cylinder and dustproof ring 11 replaced by new ones. Always make sure that the repair kit corresponded year of production.
The assembly of the front wheel brake mechanism spend in reverse order, thus:
- Install new O-ring 9, after brushing his brake fluid and the surface of the piston apply graphite grease or lubricant "Ditor";
- Wear a dust ring 11 on the outer edge of the working piston;

Installing the dust ring
Fig. 320. Installing the dust ring

- Slowly pushing the piston into the cylinder, using a screwdriver, carefully insert the inner sealing lip of the dust ring into the groove (Fig. 320) of the cylinder (cylinder thus should be clamped in a vice);

Forcing the piston in the brake cylinder by means of a clamp
Fig. 321. Indentation piston in the brake cylinder by means of a clamp

- Using the clamp slowly push the plunger in the cylinder (Fig. 321). This outer working edge of a dustproof ring enters the groove of the piston, as will be in front of him;
- Remove the air from the brake cylinder. Why put on the bleed screw the hose and put it on the end of the brake fluid filled syringe. Fill the cylinder with brake fluid as long as it comes out through the connection of a brake hose;
- After the assembly and installation of the brake mechanism to restore the level of liquid in a tank and pump over hydraulic drive system.
