Removal and installation of the vacuum amplifier of the vehicle equipped with ABS
As mentioned in Section 15.6, the removal of brake booster when installed ABS comes a little like a car without ABS, as in this case it is necessary to remove the hydraulic unit to the ECU - ABS, to gain access to the fastening of the vacuum brake booster. Removing vacuum booster in a car with ABS system performed as follows: - Remove the wire "-" O with AB;

- Remove the baffle compartment AB (see. Fig. 328); - Remove noise insulation in the engine compartment of the engine; - Remove the AB; - Remove the coolant expansion tank; - Disconnect the plug connector Multi-display coolant temperature and remove the two screws; - Unscrew the two screws and remove the right cover partition AB; - Turn away a bolt and remove the left rear compartment bulkhead AB. Put aside the surge tank; - Disconnect the electrical connector on the cover of the brake fluid reservoir and remove the reservoir tank cover; - Remove the spring clamp and disconnect the ABS-ECU Multi-plug connector;

- Mark with adhesive tape (on which are written the number) and disconnect from the hydraulic unit 15 (Fig. 332) the brake pipes 9, 10, 16 and 17 of the front and rear wheels; - Close the hole at the pipeline and the hydraulic unit to prevent leakage of liquid and the ingress of dust and dirt; - Unscrew and remove the hydraulic unit upwards with ABS-ECU; - Using a siphon-pear pump out the brake fluid reservoir and remove the brake master cylinder; - Disconnect the vacuum hose going to the vacuum brake booster; - Remove the bottom casing of the instrument panel on the driver side;

- Remove the spring clamp 1 (see. Fig. 329), then remove the pin 2, and disconnect the brake pedal pushrod vacuum brake booster; - Remove the four nuts of the vacuum brake booster and remove it. The installation of the vacuum amplifier spend in the reverse order of removal.
