Check power pumps



Check the power supply of each fuel pump separately as follows.
Reconnect all disconnected fuel pipes.

Connect multimeter

Connect the multimeter VAG 1715 using the current clamp to the wire 4-pin connector pin 1 (Fig. 2.318) from the wiring harness to the right fuel delivery module.
Start the engine and leave to idle.
Measure the power consumption of the fuel pump. Specification: max. 11 A.
If the current consumption of more than a given, right faulty fuel pump, replace the fuel delivery module.
In the same way, test the module fuel left.
If greater than the specified current consumption:
Faulty left fuel pump, replace the fuel delivery module.

NOTE
If an error occurs in the power supply only from time to time, the check can also be carried out during the test drive, but this requires a second specialist.
