Removing and installing stabilizer bar



1) Remove the steering gear from the steering column:
- Partially remove the flooring and adhesive tape from the adapter plate;

- Turn the steering wheel and remove the bolt from the pinion shaft (Fig. 7.22);
- Secure the steering wheel with the position of the car wheels for rectilinear movement;
- Mark the position of pinion shaft and the housing of the steering wheel;
- Put the car on the support so that the two wheels do not touch the floor;
- Remove the heat shield from the axle shaft and the engine front shield;
- Unscrew the nuts of the engine in front and behind;
- Remove the four screws (two long and two short);
- Remove the two screws on the engine and remove the central longitudinal beam;
- Remove the rod with manual transmission;
- Remove the front exhaust pipe;
- Disconnect stabilizer from the bottom levers front suspension;
- Supporting cross-member, turn out six bolts;
- Lower the crossmember to provide access to mounting anti-roll bar;
2) Remove the stabilizer bar from the crossmember:
- Remove the two screws;
- Raise the anti-roll bar and remove the brackets;
- Remove the rubber feet;
3) Install the stabilizer bar on the crossbar:
- Glue the two new strips of adhesive tape to the antiroll bar;
- Establish two rubber feet, anti-roll bar on the crossbar and two brackets, tightening the bolts to 25 Nm;

4) fix the crossbeam:
- Lift the crossbeam and pass through the body of the steering mechanism;
- Set the shaft of the steering wheel on the shaft of the pinion;
- Check the alignment marks made prior to disassembly;
- Attach the crossmember to the body: long bolts torque to the front - 108 Nm, the short screws in the rear - 88 Nm;
5) fix the stabilizer on the suspension arm, which use a new nut on the ball joint with a torque of 45 Nm;
6) Install the front exhaust pipe, fix the wiring of the oxygen probe;
7) Connect the rod switching gears to the gearbox;
8) establish a central longitudinal beam mudguard engine heat shield, the half-line;
9) steering column press them further to the pinion shaft, tighten the bolt to 17 Nm.
