Purpose and brief description of the hydraulic brake system

Brake components and their location on the vehicle
Fig. 6.1. Brake components and their location on the vehicle: 1 - the brake pedal; 2 - the stoplight switch; 3 - gidrovakuumny brake booster; 4 - the master cylinder; 5 - unit ABS (Antilock Brake System); 6 - a pressure regulator rear brakes; 7 - the parking brake lever; 8 - Caliper rear wheel; 9 - caliper front wheel; 10 - rear wheel speed sensor; 11 - the gauge of speed of the front wheel; 12 - the brake fluid reservoir

The circuit hydraulic braking system
Fig. 6.2. The circuit hydraulic braking system: 1 - return valves; 2 - the valve plunger pump; 3 - accumulator; 4 - camera suppressing pulsations in the system; 5 - electric motor with eccentric piston pump; 6 - the brake fluid reservoir; 7 - service brake; 8 - amp; 9 - the master cylinder; 10 - pack abs; 11 - final operated valves; 12 - inlet operated valves; 13 - throttling valve; 14-17 - brakes

7 Pedal service brake is a tool for actuating the brake and control the intensity of braking. Before it installed the brake light switch. He lights the lights of braking signals and sends a signal to the beginning of the braking control unit.
Power 8 is located between the brake pedal and the master cylinder 9.
Power increases the force applied to the pedal by the driver when braking in a ratio of 4: 1. The required vacuum is created by the communication with the intake manifold of the engine and install one-way valve preventing return air into the cavity of the amplifier in the absence of vacuum in the intake manifold. The main brake cylinder has two pistons. Each piston is working at your side: one cylinder on the right front and left rear, the second - on the left front and right rear wheels.
6 tank for brake fluid is divided into three containers, two of which are designed for brake circuits, and the third - for the clutch in vehicles with manual transmission. Containers are separated from one another. In the event of a leak in one of the circuits is maintained full effectiveness of the other circuits.
In the tank, there are labels ?min? and ?max?, honey which should be the level of brake fluid. On the cover of tank sensor is installed, lights a warning frame at the position below the permissible level. Mark brake fluid DOT4. +
Block 10 Bosch ABS 5.0 is a new generation of systems ABS, presenting a closed hydraulic system, without having to return to the channel in the brake fluid reservoir, feeding brake master cylinder.
Electronic and hydraulic components are mounted as a unit. These include, other than those of the scheme: the relay for the motor plunger pump 5 and relays the inlet 12 and outlet 11 valves. The whole unit is mounted under the right wing, just before the MacPherson struts. External components are: the ABS warning light on the instrument panel 1, which lights up in case of a fault in the system, as well as the ignition is switched on for four seconds; brake light switch and wheel speed sensors. The unit is output to the diagnostic connector.
Throttling valve is installed to reduce the braking force to the rear wheels to prevent them from locking. It is located directly in the tubes and fixed on the rear panel (dashboard) of the engine compartment. Due to the fact that the brake system has a setting for a "weak" rear wheels (this means that the pressure of the brakes of the rear wheels is the same, and its value is set at the closest to the blocking wheel), a throttle valve is installed on one circuit.
Brakes 14-17 include brake discs and calipers are single-piston floating caliper and brake pads, equipped with straps monitoring wear of the friction linings. Rear brakes are similar to the front, but have a solid brake discs (front - ventilated) and the parking brake actuator is mounted in the caliper.
