Replacing the tie rod with ball joint

Replacement tip rod with a hinge assembly follow in the following sequence:

- Unscrew the locknut;

- Remove the split cotter and remove the castellated nut ball stud; Extract the finger with a tool 999 5637 (Fig. 7.32);

- Unscrew the tie rod end ball-joint assembly (count the number of revolutions);

- Install the tie rod end ball joint in a lever, screw the castellated nut and tighten its moment of 24 Nm;

- Establish an adjustable pin; for the installation of a movable pin may be necessary to tighten the nut, tightening it stronger;

- Check the wheel alignment.
