Check / replacement of the traction relay of a starter
The scheme of inclusion  At malfunction of the traction relay in the starter gear is not included in the flywheel. Because of this, the starter can not rotate the crankshaft. This defect is more common than the damage of the motor starter. Check | - Remove the starter.
 | - Unplug the field winding from terminal C.

- Connect traction relay auxiliary cable to the battery. Gear starter should be pulled out.
 | The cables can be connected to a maximum of 10 seconds, otherwise burns winding traction relay. |
- Disconnect earth cable from the terminal C. The pinion starter must remain pressed, otherwise replace the relay.
- Disconnect the cable on the body weight of the starter, the pinion should be involved, otherwise replace.

Withdrawal |  | - Unscrew the two screws on the cable terminal and the relay of the drive housing and remove the traction relay. Remove the washers.

Setting | - Set the traction relay and washers attached to the arm of a starter and screw with a small torque (5 Nm).
- Check magnetic switch as described above.
- Install the starter.
